MILLIY TREK CROSS

Automatic traffic enforcement system

Automatic control of intersections

"MILLIY TREK CROSS" Automatic traffic enforcement system

Stationary system «Milliy Trek Cross» is intended for control and photo and video recording of traffic violations at intersections with data transfer to the Police Back Office. System provides automatic license plate recognition and verification of all vehicles against various databases.

The list of captured traffic violations depends on the system configuration and the layout of the cameras at the intersection.

  • Red light running
  • Speeding (instant and average)
  • Crossing the stop line at a prohibitory traffic light
  • Movement in the wrong direction on one-way road
  • Movement on divider lane
  • Maneuvering in forbidden direction on crossroad
  • Movement in the wrong direction on two-way road
  • Movement on reserved bus lane
  • Movement on the roadside
  • Crossing the solid road marking
  • Movement on pavement or cycle way
  • Violation of the requirements prescribed by road signs or markings
  • Truck traffic ban enforcement
  • Stop at the waffle markings in case of traffic jam
  • Failure to keep safe distance (tailgating)
  • Average speed control on a road section*
  • Driving without the seat belt
  • Driving without headlights on
  • Stopping or parking violations
  • Stop at the pedestrian crossing

Note:
* It is possible to use the average speed control mode on a road section, when working together with other “Milliy Trek” family systems.

Modularity and unique scalability

The system consists of one or more video sensors (recognizing cameras) with IR spotlights, overview cameras and information processing unit (Cross DPU).

Due to its modularity, the system has a unique scalability. To control the speeding violations, one or more video sensors of the system can be equipped with radar units.

Upon request, the video sensors can be additionally equipped with:
— automatic glass cleaning systems;
— motorized pan and tilt devices with remote control.

All cameras have optical interfaces and are connected to DPU using fiber-optic communication lines.

Control zones, example of equipment placement at an intersection

Full control of a typical two-way intersection with two lanes in each direction will require 4 video sensors , 4 overview cameras and one DPU. The specific quantity and composition of equipment is specified for each project, depending on the configuration of the intersection.

Setting the required parameters for system operation is carried out remotely through the built-in Web interface using the computer or tablet. The detection of the traffic light signals (including additional sections) is performed automatically from the image from the overview camera, or in a combined way with connection to the traffic light controller - this provides an unsurpassed degree of reliability and error protection.

DPU "Cross" performs license plate recognition using the data from video sensors, analyses the movement in the frame and automatically recognizes the traffic signals. During the information processing, the system generates collages of photos of the violator, which may include a general photo of the intersection and an enlarged photo of the violator, and/or photographs of the road situation taken at a specified interval. The data with recognized license plate and related information is transmitted using secure communication channels to Police Back Office for violations processing.

In the process of operation, the system captures all vehicles that have passed through the intersection. It is possible to capture vehicles with unrecognized or missing license plates for search purposes.
